Are You What You Eat

You may ask what does what I eat have to with my hair and my health. Well you heard the saying “you are what you eat”. Let’s think about it. You need food to stay alive and food nourishes all your body systems (that means, the food that you eat feeds all your cells in your body). The nutrients that your body gets from the food, helps the body function, the body uses those nutrients to heal or repair itself. For these reasons I say this is true. If you eat the wrong foods that are chemical processed and have no nutritional value your body is missing something. Many times your hair and your skin is a reflection of you internal health. Your body tries to give signs in many ways to let you know that you have some nutritional deficiencies, it may need or it will show signs of toxins that it is trying to eliminate from the body. Your hair or scalp may become dry or brittle, these are signs of a couple of things, example: you may need intake of more oils or fat intakes. This is where a trichologist comes in to play. Trichology is a higher extension of cosmetology of hair and scalp disorder.
